Alpharetta-Smyrna Alumni Chapter - Founders Day 2009

A Message From the Polemarch:

Robert Nibbs Jr Photo
Welcome! Thank you for visiting the website of Alpharetta Smyrna Alumni (ASA) Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. It is an honor to have you view what our chapter is doing in the North to Northwest communities of greater Metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. We are Kappa men dedicated to the dream of excellence in everything we do, while embracing an unyielding commitment to bettering lives by the service and programs we offer. Our success and achievement is representative of teamwork at its best, which we proudly refer to as working together as “One KAPPA.”

Since Alpharetta-Smyrna Alumni was chartered on September 24, 1989, we have grown from 16 to over 60 members. As a chapter of the Southeastern Province, we are extremely proud to be recognized at the province and national level for our Guide Right Program.

The mentoring and educational development initiative serves as our flagship in giving back to the community…“Training for Leadership.” It includes Junior Kappa League, Kappa League and Beautillion. All combined, roughly 100 young men from 4th through 12th grade will participate in the 2009-2010 school year.

The Krimson Community Foundation (KCF), our 501c (3) non-profit organization was established in 2001. It has been pivotal in expanding our service and gift giving, including community collaboration for programs such as the “Teen Explosion.” Since 2001, the foundation has awarded over $150,000 in scholarships and gifts.

Our two undergraduate chapters, Southern Polytechnic University (Pi Iota) and Kennesaw State University (Omicron Iota) continue to prosper and grow. For the second consecutive year, Pi Iota was recognized as “Undergraduate Chapter of The Year” in the Southeastern Province.

As Alpharetta-Smyrna Alumni moves forward in 2009, we will continue “Honoring Our Founders, and a Century of Service through One KAPPA.” We welcome members of Kappa Alpha Psi who are not affiliated with a local chapter to join us.

Sincerely,
Robert L. Nibbs, Jr.
