ASA Guide Right Induction Ceremony
"Leadership by Self Determination, Commitment and Character Development"
GUIDE RIGHT PROGRAM
The national service program of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is deemed Guide Right. The purpose of the Guide Right program is to place the training experience and life lessons of successful men at the disposal of youth for educational and occupational guidance, primarily inspirational and informational in character. The Alpharetta-Smyrna Alumni Chapter’s Guide Right initiatives are:
- Kappa League (KL), Junior Kappa League (JKL), supporting Kappa Kamp, Scholarship Awards

A-MAN Program, Kappa Diamond Beautillion, and support of St. Jude Research Hospital.

The Guide Right Committee continues to have primary responsibility for planning, supervising, coordinating, and executing activities for Kappa League (KL), Junior Kappa League (JKL), selecting Kappa Kamp attendees, and the A-MAN Program.
- Scholarship selection and awards, the Kappa Diamond Beautillion, and supporting St. Jude Research Hospital will continue to be managed by other committees within the chapter.

STRATEGIC VISION ACTION TARGETS FOR (2011-2012)
- Increased exposure to science and technology educational events and career opportunities for Kappa League and Junior Kappa League participants; sustained exposure to vocational events and career opportunities for Kappa League and Junior Kappa League participants; continued emphasis on business, engineering, education, and law career areas.

College scholarship qualification, application, and interview preparation for Kappa League 11thand 12th grade participants;

Increased support of Marietta Middle School academic programs; and, published metrics and key performance indicators to measure/ report program results, support levels of the chapter’s mentors and members; and support/participation by parents
- Execute One-On-One Mentoring and/or a Group Mentoring Approach
